1. My wife is 5'5" and pedals comfortably at the lowest the seat can be set. I asked her your question and she said it might be a stretch for you to pedal comfortably. What I would do is go to a gym or some sporting goods store and see if you can find a machine similar to this one and see if it is comfortable for you. This is a great spin bike and the price was very good compared to other models but the seat may not drop low enough for you to pedal comfortably but admittedly it will be very close. Hope this helps.
